6,000 6,000 takes its title from the estimated number of times Sheri Lopez was sold during the years she was trafficked. Through her lived experience, Sheri examines not only what happened to her, but also the justifications buyers used for their actions and the ways she learned to cope with repeated trauma while trying to survive. This is not a course. It is a recorded and written edition of Sheri’s book, designed for easy access so you can listen, read, or move between the two at your own pace. 6,000 offers a survivor’s perspective on the realities of trafficking that statistics alone cannot tell.
